Collection & Recycling Arrangements for Revvity Customers in Germany

Ministry of Environment adopted a revised WEEE Act (ElektroG) on 2 July 2015 which implemented the WEEE Recast Directive. The Act was published on 23 October 2015 and entered into force on the 24 October 2015.

Producers and distributors are required to inform end-users about the WEEE take-back facilities that the obligated producer or distributor provides.

As per the ElektroG amendment, the open scope of the WEEE Recast came into effect on 15 August 2018. As part of these changes producers were able to apply to register newly in-scope products from 1 May 2018 into the 6 new categories.

The Act on WEEE 3 (ElektroG3) was published on 27 May 2021, and has been in force since 1 January 2022.

Producers of B2B EEE are to newly submit a ‘take-back concept’ to Elektro-Altgeraete Register (EAR) for each type of EEE, from 1 July 2022.

Producers are required to register with the EAR at www.stiftung-ear.de WEEE registration number must be quoted on all transaction documentation (e.g. invoices, etc.).

You must fill all requested fields and REFERENCE NUMBER will be assigned to your collection request.

Please keep your reference number – it can be needed for track your WEEE collection.

Any equipment likely to be contaminated MUST be certified as clean and free from contamination by following the recommended decontamination procedure prior to collection.
